Since the new garlic was launched in early June, the total garlic production in China this year has decreased by nearly 20% compared to last year, and the increase in domestic demand for fresh garlic,  leading to a continuous rise in garlic prices for the new crop.

As of the end of July, the price of fresh garlic was 8-9.7CNY/KG. Due to the rise in raw material prices, the production cost of dehydrated garlic flakes has also been increasing. The price of finished garlic flakes for export continues to rise, and the current raw material price is stable at 21000 CNY/MT.

We expect that the price of garlic from June 2024 to April 2025 will be higher than the same period last year. Due to the increase in domestic demand for garlic, it is difficult for the price of garlic exported from China to decrease during this period.
