The main production areas of apple in China is Shandong, Gansu, Shanxi provinces, through investigation and analyze the feedback from fruit farmers in various regions, the yield of apple this year is far less than previous. The main reason is because of frosty weather, many areas happend varying degrees of frosty weather, especially in May.

The apple fruit setting is very low this year, there’re only a few apples on the tree, even no one apple, we see only green trees, no any apples, attached the photos which taken on July 2022.

Regarding low output of crop 2022 apple, there are main two reasons, details as following

1) Continuing high temperature in August 2021, which made against flower-bud formation. Nearly everyday was rainy weather between September-October 2021, the farmers seldom to manuring, which caused excessive rainfall, but undernourished in flower bud differentiation period.

2) Fall in temperature and frosty weather in May made a great difference on yield of apple, although the farmers adopted a series of measures to prevent frostbite, fall in temperature too much and fast, heavy losses finally.

The reduction in production is very serious this year, 2022 might is the lowest output in recent years, price of crop 2022 apple still keep rising now, very unstable.
